Artist's Comments

A commission for a christmas card design for a good friend of mine.

A snow faerie, contemplating the beauty of a winter's night. She doesn't feel the cold, and is slightly bemused as to why people wish to stay inside their homes when the weather is so silent and pretty.....

Fully digital painting, done in PS7, probably took about 7-10? hours in total, can't quite remember.... I messed about with the colours a lot, that took a while hehe.

Hope you guys like.

Beautiful work. The arms look a bit short, but leaving that aside the anatomy looks great, the pose is well done, very relaxed.
This is something I'd like to receive in Xmas rather than the average cheesy Santa. ^^

This is really beautiful! I love the colours, her delicate, wonderfully patterned wings, the soft snow-flakes and the little jewels hangning from the branch!

Transparent wings! Awww...I love those wings and the farie's hair. :3 T'is just a beautiful drawing in general, and I happen to have a love for purple. ^^
