Guilt of thy heart
No angel's arms can heal
A shadow beyond this light scattered haze
No heavenly glow can conceal.

Eyes wide; perpetual fear
Tearing a mind to shreds
As I sew together fragments of glass
With only lace and silk.

A source of endless power I wield
And wrapped in the tight and warmth
Everything is safely within my reach
Yet rest is never found here.

Heaven's ice: Wonderous marvel to behold
More intricate than nature's vain copy.
Baroque pattern; a curlicue forming slowly
And now the chill is felt within.

Those freezing patterns
Settle to crystalline
A perfect prison
Around thy heart

Digital painting in Photoshop from scratch.

I've been working on and off for ages, so I can't remember how long it took. I'm still not quite finished with it, but it'll do for now, I might come back and play with it again later.
