A protective dragon mother watches over her newly hatched.....
It is her first offspring and she's going to make sure nothing gets in the way of looking after him. ------- Mech pencil drawing on A3. Added a slight sepia hue & border in photoshop, nothing else changed. I think this is my most anatomically correct dragon so far. I spent a long time on the muscle structure and thinking how certain parts would actually work - I guuess I find it quite interesting how dragons would actually be built. In this drawing I actually drew the entire muscle structure first before putting the scales over the top. I have a WIP drawing of this showing 1/3 sketch 1/3 anatomy structure 1/3 finalised detail and scales - I wonder if I should post that too..... maybe in scraps later. Isn't the little one just adorable? Hope you like  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
